I got a message from the Lord Sunday I want to share to try to encourage you today!
Jesus said...If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me. John 12:32
The Lord, through prayer, has shown me that I was mistaking inferiority for humility.
I problem is that I felt if I was faced with a situation where prayer or answering a bible question arose, I would not be able to pray with enough faith or give a sufficient answer. That is where I was right! I cannot do those things at all BUT Christ within me can! Because I know,
...I can do all things THROUGH CHRIST that STRENGTHENS ME! Philippians 4:13
I can't let how I feel hold me back from what God wants to do if I am His servant!
What God was telling me Sunday nite was to put away the inferiority and know that He loves me and that I, as a Holy Ghost filled christian, am INFERIOR TO NONE! He said He wants to use me, so I have to pray and put aside/rebuke the feelings of inferiority so that I can be used!
The Holy Ghost was given to me 19 years ago to give me the power and strength to do what is before me each day to do ...You shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me...unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 It was also given to me as the earnest of my inheritance, eternal life! (An inheritance that He freely gives to all who seek Him!)
If I will pray and seek His direction for my life each day, Jesus will lead me to some one who has their heart already prepared by Him to receive what He wills for them THROUGH ME! I could be the answer to someones prayer?? BUT I could also be the reason why someones prayer is delayed...one more day of heartache, bodily pain or utter dispare could all be because I didn't feel adequate enough to carry out God's work and will! I want to be where God wants me to be, and also what He wants me to be...Humble but never inferior!
I know this has stirred me to really search my way of living, thinking, and praying. Hope you got something from it too=-)
