My 14 year old said he thought of a saying before he fell asleep last nite and I asked him to please share it with me...
"If you have to question yourself a second time, then the answer will always be no!"
My teen has been going thru a few things that at first we believed to be hormone related, then moving into making wrong decisions that carry some heavy consequences. As a parent, you feel that you must have done something wrong for your child to have turned out this way! Although, in some cases that might be true, in others, often it's not! Some children just have to "touch the stove before they see that it's really hot" I have been told. Although this is not how we desire for our children to learn, it sometimes happens!
He said "this just came to him" and I believe that, but from where? I know he has been praying and he has alot of others praying for him too! I believe in the power of prayer and God answering our prayers by **impressions, **thoughts and **dreams from the Lord and **others sharing their personal testimonies with us.
(**I am not talking about bad or hurtful things because God would NEVER want us to hurt ourselves OR anyone else! Our answers MUST parallel with the Scripture, the word of God.)
When you feel the situation is hopeless and see no answer or way out and then after much prayer, a Crystal clear answer comes to you. Sometimes immediately and sometimes it takes hours, days or even months and years of being faithful to pray about it, asking God for clear direction and His will for your life. And if you WILL keep praying, God will answer! Along with the strength and peace you will need, all along the way to that answer!
So now, let me ask you this, have you ever as my son and countless others have, questioned yourself twice (or more) and found the answer was NO but went ahead and done it only to end up defeated, discouraged and/or heartbroke? The answer is NO but we want it so bad we make ourselves believe it is YES!
"Oh the peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear. All because we do not carry, EVERYTHING to God in prayer!"
God never ceases to amaze me! He is always so good, kind and merciful to us. His timing and His answer are always perfect! If you have never experienced God and the power of Prayer in your life, I challenge you to..."TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD, HE IS GOOD!"
Remember, going ahead of God, His will, His timing, and His answer carries heavy consequences! Move only after much prayer and time with God! God will be with you to lead you out and keep you on the right track to true happiness and real joy in your life, just as God desires for each of us today! and remember the wisdom and answered prayer of a 14 year old...
